Navan Theory Test Centre

Navan Theory Test Centre Address

The location of the test centre for driver theory test candidates is:

4 Railway Street,
C15 DK64

Navan can be reached via the N51, which connects to the M3 motorway. The test is located near the town centre, so there are amply parking facilities close by. We’ve highlighted what we feel are the two best options below:

Old Ulster Bank

This site is actually on the same road as the testing venue, with your onwards journey to the centre taking less than one minute. However, please note that there are only 30 spaces located here, and therefore may have limited availability on any given day.

Parking here is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Charges are reasonable, with spaces costing €1.20 an hour, or €4 for an all-day ticket. Please note, if you opt to pay via the APCOA Connect service, parking will be discounted at a rate of €0.20 for every hour used. To do this, call 0861801630, and quote the location ID, which is 1444.

There are no disabled spaces at this car park.

After exiting the car park and turning right, the test centre is approximately 50 metres up on the left-hand side, just before you reach Crawford’s newsagents.

If you require disabled parking or access to electric vehicle charging, Fairgreen Car Park is the more suitable option. This is a maximum stay site, allowing drivers to park for no longer than three hours. However, given its relative proximity to the venue, there is plenty of time to walk to the centre, conduct your theory test, and return to your vehicle.

The payment structure for this site is a little odd, as it charges customers in fifteen-minute increments, except when purchasing a two-hour ticket. Therefore, we would recommend you opt for a two-hour ticket (priced at €1.20), and then top up for every additional fifteen minutes (priced at €0.30) you feel you may need.

Please note that this car park is closed on a Friday, but open all day, every day for the rest of the week. Again, you can pay via the APCOA Connect line by calling the same number above, and using the location ID, 4561. However, there is no discounted rate for using this service at this facility.

To reach the centre, head westbound down Fairgreen Road, and turn right at your first roundabout. The venue is roughly 20m along this road, on the right-hand side.

Further parking information, including alternative sites and their respective charges, can be found at the relevant Parkopedia page, available here.

There are multiple bus routes that service Navan, with many heading to destinations nearby the test centre. If taking a local service, please head to either Navan Centre Stop or Abbey Road Stop.

To reach the theory centre from Navan Centre Stop, head eastwards onto Abbey Road, and turn right. Head southbound down Abbey Road, turning right again at the junction of Watergate Street. Continue on this road for around 600m, before taking a left down Railway Street. The venue is located around 80m down this road, on the left-hand side. If exiting at a bus at Abbey Road stop, the instructions are exactly the same, as the two routes converge around halfway down Abbey Road.

There are three main external services, which approach Navan from Dublin (109, NX) and Trim (190). If using any of these routes, please exit the bus at Abbey Road, and follow the directions given above. These buses do not stop at any other appropriate locations.

Unfortunately, there is no train station in Navan. The closest station is located in Drogheda, which is roughly 30km away. Travelling from Drogheda Macbride station to the test centre will take comfortably over an hour, so we would recommend that you pursue alternative transport. However, if this you’re only option, please find onward travel guidance below.

Drogheda Macbride Station to Railway Street, Navan:

On exiting Drogheda station, turn left on Dublin Street, and locate the train station’s bus stop, around 20m away on your left-hand side. Catch the D5 Ashton Village service, and alight at Drogheda Bus Station. From here, take the 190 Trim route, and leave the bus at Abbey Road, as per the instructions above.
